I think Logging should be banned/stopped this is 2 reasons why.
1. i think logging should be banned because
if it keeps on going most of the ice on earth will melt
causing sea levels to rise and sea levels rising = flooding
2. If we keep cutting down trees there will soon be
no forests and it would be sad
Kia Ora, Ben!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, and thanks for completing yet another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'Towering Timbers'— thanks for giving us your opinion on whether or not you think that logging should be allowed in New Zealand. I'm pleased to see that you've provided us with two reasons, but I'd like you to elaborate a little bit more on them both. When you say that most of the ice will melt on Earth, is this directly related to the Forestry industry? If so, how? Your second reason is also interesting as the wood used for Forestry is predominantly pine, which was introduced during the settlement of the Europeans in the 19th Century. Fortunately we are not cutting down every single tree (especially the natives), in fact, there's a movement to plant 1 billion trees by 2020— what do you think about that?
Don't forget that you can always add images and colour to your posts to help them stand out and pull your readers in!
Cheers,
Jordan
Hola Ben,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Hinerangi, I go to Pt England School and I am currently commenting as I have finished all my blog posts of the SLJ. I really love this post you have written as you have pointed out 2 amazing and very different reasons why logging should be banned. I also agree with having logging banned as it will end up destroying our lovely nature and will soon have all the animals nowhere to live. What an awesome point, I hope all the people who are loggers read this and find out why they shouldn't be doing this.
If logging gets banned, Where do you think they are going to work at, why?
Overall awesome blog post Ben, I wish to see more information about this like adding a photo of people logging but, other than that this was an amazing post, keep it up Ben!
Ka Kite,
Hinerangi
